I saw it in english dub...always sounds better in japanese. Miyazaki productions are always outlandish but this was a bit vague. The kid is running from death, and wants to live forever, ended up losing his shadow and stabbed his father while possessed by his dark side and his gf is a dragon who did not even get a proper role in the whole plot......kinda confusing and all over the place....miyazaki is known for his simple yet beautifully rendered fantasy and realworld stories....this was not upto the standards of his works that we expect of him.
